Make sure the Probe Heat bit 28 is 0 (fifth bit from the left on the first line).

CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN THE AIR-GROUND CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR MORE THAN
_______ 10 SECONDS. WHEN YOU OPEN THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS, POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE PT2/TT2 PROBE HEAT. IF THESE CIRCUIT BREAKERS ARE OPEN FOR MORE THAN 10 SECONDS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PT2/TT2 PROBE HEAT.
 (d)  
Open these circuit breakers for the air-ground mode and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags: 1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker panel

 a) 7F22 Landing Gear Dsp & Cont Pri b) 7F23 Landing Gear Dsp & Cont Altn

 (e)  
Make sure the Probe Heat bit goes to 1.

 (f)  
Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers for the air-ground mode: 1) P7 Overhead Circuit Breaker panel

 a) 7F22 Landing Gear Dsp & Cont Pri b) 7F23 Landing Gear Dsp & Cont Altn

 (g)  
Make sure the Probe Heat bit goes back to 0.

 (5)  Put the EEC MAINT ENG (1, 2, 3, or 4) POWER switch on the P461 panel top the NORM position.

EEC THERMOCOUPLE PROBE (TT3) - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  This procedure gives the instructions to remove and install the EEC thermocouple probe (TT3 probe).
 B.  The TT3 probe is installed on the diffuser/combustor case at the 2:30 o'clock position.
 C.  You can get access to the TT3 probe through the right thrust reverser.

 2.  Remove the EEC Thermocouple Probe (TT3 probe) (Fig. 401)
