1. General
_______
A. Paragraph 2 gives the tasks to examine the engine control system for category 2 faults. The test is done with the central maintenance computer system (CMCS).
B. Paragraphs 3 and 4 are the tasks which change the EEC channel in command (from Channel A to Channel B or from Channel B to Channel A), as necessary for maintenance. This can be done while the engine operates (par. 3) or after an engine shutdown (par. 4).

2. Engine Control System Inspection for Category 2 Faults

A. General
(1)
This task examines the engine control system for category 2 faults. The test is done with the central maintenance computer system (CMCS).
(2)
You can use one of the steps that follow to find the Category 2 faults: the most recent leg of the CMCS Fault History, the CMCS Present Leg Faults, or the last three legs of the CMCS Fault History.
