Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Procedure

(1)
Remove the No. 3 segment of the fan exit liner (AMM 72-34-03/401).

(2)
Remove the air supply tube.
(a)
Remove the bolts which attach the tube flange to the intermediate case boss.
(b)
Remove the bolts and nuts which attach the tube flange, at the aft end, to the flange for the cooling air manifold.
(c)
Remove the air supply tube.
(d)
Install a protection cap on the open cooling air manifold and the intermediate case boss.

Remove the EEC speed transducer (N1):
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the EEC speed transducer (N1). 1) Install the protection caps on the electrical connectors.
(b)
Disconnect the tube nuts for the PT2.5 sensing manifold from the EEC speed transducer and the sensing line.
(c)
Remove the PT2.5 sensing manifold.
1) Install the protection cap on the open end of the sensing line and the port of the EEC speed transducer.
(d)
Remove the EEC speed transducer with the steps that follow:
1) Equally remove bolts and nut which attach the EEC speed transducer to the intermediate case.
NOTE:____The EEC speed transducer has a spring in it. Loosen the bolts and nut equally (not one at a time).
2) Remove the washers.
