Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the Fuel Flow Transmitter

(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector DM7192 (8) from the fuel flow
transmitter (4).
(a)
Install the protection caps on the ends of the electrical connector.

Put the container below the fuel flow transmitter (4).

Remove the bolts (17) and nuts (11) which attach the wire bundle
clamps (12, 15, 16, 18, 19, and 20) to the bracket (21).

Remove the bolts (13 and 14) which attach the bracket (21) and
adapter (9) to the fuel distribution valve.
(a)
Remove the bracket (21) from the engine.

Remove the bolts (10) and washers (7) which attach the adapter (9)
and transfer tube (1) to the fuel flow transmitter (4).
(a)
Remove the adapter (9) from the engine.

Remove the bolts (6) and washers (7) which attach the forward end of the fuel flow transmitter (4) to the adapter (5).

For the engines with two brackets (23 and 24) which hold the forward of the transmitter (4), loosen the bolts (22) which attach the bracket (24) to the HPC case bracket (23) and plate (25).

Move the transfer tube (1) aft until the transfer tube touches the fuel distribution valve.

Remvoe the fuel flow transmitter (4) from the engine.

Discard the gaskets (3) and packings (2).

CAUTION: YOU MUST PRESERVE THE FUEL FLOW TRANSMITTER IF YOU DO NOT
_______ INSTALL IT WITHIN 24 HOURS. IF THIS IS NOT DONE, THE INTERNAL PARTS OF THE TRANSMITTER WILL CORRODE.

Preserve the transmitter (4) for these conditions:
-
You will not install the same transmitter that you removed
-
You will wait 24 hours or more before you install the transmitter.
(a)
Fill the transmitter with oil.
(b)
Drain the oil from the transmitter.
NOTE: Make sure there is a thin layer of oil on the
____ internal parts of the transmitter.

(11) Install the protection caps on the open ends of the fuel flow transmitter (4), transfer tube (1), and adapter (5).
