Open the right thrust reverser (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Drain the fuel filter housing.
(a)
Put the container below the drain plug for the fuel filter.
(b)
Remove the drain plug to let the fuel drain in the container. 1) Discard the packing on the drain plug.
(c)
Lubricate the new packing for the drain plug with the
petrolatum.
(d)
Install the new packing on the drain plug.
(e)
Lubricate the threads of the drain plug with engine oil.
(f)
Install the drain plug in the cover of the fuel filter housing.
1) Tighten the drain plug to 45-55 pound-inches (5.1-6.2 newton-meters).

Install the pressure adapter.
(a)
Remove the bolts and washers which attach the differential pressure switch for the fuel filter to the fuel pump.
(b)
Remove and hold the differential pressure switch from the fuel pump. 1) Discard the packings.
(c)
Lubricate the new packings with the petrolatum.
(d)
Install the new packings in the recesses of the adapter pressure ports.
(e)
Put the adapter on the differential pressure switch with the dowel pin in the hole and bolt holes aligned.
(f)
Attach the adapter to the differential pressure switch with the mounting bolts and washers. 1) Tighten the bolts.
