 INCORRECT ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE, OR TOOLS, A DAMAGED OR
 LOOSE CONNECTOR CAN OCCUR.  A LOOSE CONNECTOR PERMITS
 VIBRATION, WHICH CAUSES THE CONTACTS TO WEAR AND

 DECREASES THE LIGHTNING PROTECTION.
 1)  Connect the W6P12 electrical connector to the W5J12 electrical connector on the bracket at the 3:30 o'clock position on the HPC case (AMM 70-24-05/201).
 (d)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the W6 harness to the bracket, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness to the bracket with the bolt and nut

 (View M). 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.

 (e)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the W6 harness to the support tube, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness to the support tube with the bolt and

 nut (View L). 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.

 (f)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the W6 harness to the bracket on the fuel injector support, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness and the support tube to the bracket

 on the fuel injector support (View K). 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.

 (g)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attach the W6 harness and the ground lead to the support bracket, with engine oil. 1) Attach the two W6 harness sections and ground lead to the

 support tube with the bolt and nut (View J). 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.

 (h)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the W6 harness to the bracket, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness and the support tube clamp to the


 bracket with the bolt and nut (View J). 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.
 CAUTION: DO NOT APPLY A TORQUE ON THE NUT WHICH IS MORE THAN THE
_______ MAXIMUM PERMITTED TORQUE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE OR LOOSEN THE THERMOCOUPLE PROBE STUD.
 (i)  Remove the nuts and washers from the studs for the EEC thermocouple (TT3) probe. 1) Attach the harness leads to the studs with the washers and
 nuts.

2)  Tighten the nuts at the alumel connections (larger studs) to 10-15 pound-inches (1.1-1.7 newton-meters).
 3)  Tighten the nuts at the chromel connections (smaller studs) to 8-10 pound-inches (0.9-1.4 newton-meters).
 (j) Lubricate the threads of the bolts, which attach the W6 harness to the support tube, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness to the support tube with the bolts and nuts [12 locations between the EEC thermocouple probe (TT3) and EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple terminal box] (Views E, F, G, H, and I).
 2)  Tighten the nuts with your hand.
 (k)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the W6 harness to the bracket, with engine oil. 1) Attach the W6 harness to the bracket with the bolt and nut

 (View D).
 2) Tighten the nut with your hand.


 (l)  
Attach the clamp on the W6 harness to the bracket (View D). 1) Position the clamp on the W6 harness on the bracket (View D). 2) Lubricate the threads of the bolt, which attaches the clamp to the bracket, with engine oil. 3) Attach the clamp to the bracket with the bolt and nut (View

 D).
 4) Tighten the nut with your hand.


 (m)  
Tighten all nuts, which were tightened with your hand, to 36-40 pound-inches (4.1-4.5 newton-meters).

 (n)  
Remove the nuts and washers from the terminal studs for the EGT (TT4.95) thermocouple probe. 1) Connect the W6 harness leads to the terminal studs with the

 nuts and washers. 2) Tighten the nuts at the alumel connections (larger studs) to 18-22 pound-inches (2.0-2.5 newton-meters). 3) Tighten the nuts at the chromel connections (smaller studs) to 15-18 pound-inches (1.7-2.0 newton-meters).

 (o)  
Install the cover on the TT4.95 terminal with the screws.


 1)  Attach the ground lead below the forward corner of the cover.
