EEC/TMC DISCRETES CARD - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure includes the instructions to remove and install the
EEC/TMC discretes card.
B. There are four EEC/TMC discretes cards installed in the electrical
systems card file (M7603). The discretes cards are identified as
follows:

Prepare to Remove the Discretes Card for the EEC/TMC

CAUTION: YOU MUST OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE PROBE HEAT ENG 1, 2,
_______ 3, OR 4 IN LESS THAN 10 SECONDS AFTER THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE ENG 1, 2, 3, OR 4 IDLE CONT/TMC DISCRETES IS OPENED. WHEN YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE ENG 1, 2, 3, OR 4 IDLE CONT/TMC DISCRETES, POWER IS SUPPLIED TO THE PT2/TT2 PROBE HEAT. IF YOU DO NOT OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE PROBE HEAT ENG 1, 2, 3, OR 4 IN LESS THAN 10 SECONDS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PT2/TT2 PROBE.

For the applicable engine, open this circuit breaker and install the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
