A. Safety Precautions
R (1) Put the safety barriers in position.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU: - make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position - put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Fully extend the flaps (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) On the ECAM control panel (CP), push (in) the WHEEL pushbutton switch (P/BSW). Make sure that the WHEEL page shows on the ECAM lower display unit (DU).

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
(1) Do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.

F. Cockpit Configuration
R (1) On the panel 115VU, make sure that the ENG MASTER 1 and MASTER 2 R levers are in the OFF position.
(2)
On the panel 50VU, push (in) and release (out) the FADEC GND PWR 1 or 2 P/BSW. Make sure that the applicable P/BSW ON light comes on.
(4)
Get access to the L/G page on the MCDU (Ref. TASK 31-32-00-860-009).
R (3) Make sure that the throttle control levers are in the 0 (idle stop) R position.
