B. Safety Precautions
(1)
In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU, put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2)
On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3)
Put the warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the panel 40VU in the cockpit, - on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access
door (197CB).
(4)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(5)
Put a container below the servo-control to drain the hydraulic fluid.
(6)
Put the warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

A. Removal of the Electro-Distributor
(1)
Precaution: NOTE : When you remove the rubber protective coating, use a spatula
____ to prevent damage to the surfaces of the components.
(2)
Remove the cap (3).
(3)
Connect a hose to the valve (2).
(4)
Slowly loosen the nut (1) to open the valve (2) and drain the hydraulic fluid.
(5)
When no more fluid flows out, remove the hose and tighten the nut (1) to close the valve (2).
(6)
Cut and remove the lockwire and remove the screws (6).
(7)
Remove the electro-distributor (5).
(8)
Remove and discard the packings (7) and (10).
(9)
Remove and discard the packings (8) and (9) with their thrust ring.
(10) Put blanking caps on the electrical connectors (4) and (11).
