A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001)
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system. (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001)

B. Safety Precautions
(1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
(2) On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals, put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate them.
(3) Put the warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the panel 40VU in the cockpit, - on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access door (197CB).
(4) Put the safety barriers in position.
(5) Put a container below the servo-control to drain the hydraulic fluid.

A. Removal of the Servo-Control
(1)
Precaution: NOTE : When you remove the rubber protective coating, use a spatula
____ to prevent damage to the surfaces of the components.
(2)
Remove the cap (7).
(3)
Connect a hose to the valve (6).
(4)
Slowly loosen the nut (5) to open the valve (6) and drain the hydraulic fluid.
(5)
When no more fluid flows out, remove the hose and tighten the nut (5) to close the valve (6).
(6)
Disconnect the hydraulic lines (1), (3), (9) and (10). Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(7)
Remove the sleeve (11).
(8)
Disconnect the electrical connector (2). Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connector.
(9)
Discard the sleeve (11).
(10)
Cut and remove the lockwire. Remove the screws (8).
(11)
Remove the servo control (4).
