 3. Job Set-up

 Subtask 32-51-00-941-060

 A. General
 (1) Put a warning placard in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate R the landing gear or the N/WS.
 (2)
 On the panel 400VU, make sure that the L/G normal control lever is in the DOWN position and the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is ON.

 (3)
 On the nose gear leg, on the nose wheel steering deactivation electrical box, make sure that the towing lever is in the normal position (engaged position).

 (4)
 Make sure that the N/WS handwheels and the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.


 (5) Make sure that RUD TRIM indicator shows 0.

 B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
 (1) Move the aircraft and position the nosewheels on the square steel plates
 (a)
 Position a steel plate in front of the wheels

 (b)
 Apply a thick layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the upper surface of the steel plate

 (c)
 Put the other steel plate on the top of the greased steel plate

 (d)
 Move the aircraft and position the nose wheels on the greased steel plates (Ref. TASK 09-10-00-584-002)

 (2) Installation of the NOSE WHEEL ALIGNMENT TOOL (JT2000AIRBUS) (Ref. Fig. 520/TASK 32-51-00-991-022, 521/TASK 32-51-00-991-039, 522/TASK 32-51-00-991-040)

 (a)
 Open the radome to get access to the reference point (first point) (Ref. TASK 53-15-11-010-001)

 (b)
 Do a mark on the NLG doors (second point)


 NOTE : These two reference points will be used to set-up the
____
 front target

 (c) Make sure that the area under the center and rear sections of the fuselage is clear
 -identify the reference points (11) and (12) under the fuserlage (Ref. TASK 08-22-00-200-001)
 -install the target on the refence point (12)
 NOTE : These two reference points will be used to set-up the rear
____
 target

 (d)
 Jack up the NLG axle enough to spin the two wheels (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-001)

 (e)
 Refer to the manufacturer's instruction manual to install and set-up the Nose Wheel Alignment Tool

 (f)
 Lower the aircraft on its wheels and move the axle jack away


 (3)
 Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002)

 (4)
 Make sure that rhe N/WS handwheels and the rudder pedals are in the neutral position

 (5)
 Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-001)

 (6)
 Set the rudder trim to zero position.
