A. Removal of the Anti Shimmy Valve NOTE : The removal procedure is the same for the front and rear valve.

(1)
Precaution: NOTE : When you remove the rubber protective coating, use a spatula
____ to prevent damage to the surfaces of the components.
(2)
Disconnect the hydraulic coupling (4) and drain the hydraulic fluid.
(3)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
(4)
Remove the nut (3) and the lock washer (2) and discard the lock washer (2).
(5)
Remove the anti shimmy valve (8).
(6)
Remove the rings (5) and (7) and the seals (6) and discard the seals (6).

A. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized. (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the warning notice(s) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system: - on the panel 40VU in the cockpit, - on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system, access door 197CB.
