(a) If you make a decision to lift the front of the aircraft with a jack, do these steps: - Jack-up the front of the aircraft (Ref. TASK 07-11-00-581-003). - Compress the nose gear with a hydraulic jack. to disengage the centering cams - Fully turn the NLG wheels manually to the right.
(b) If you make a decision to use two square steel plates and a tow-bar, do these steps: - put a square steel plate in position in front of the NLG wheels, - apply a thick layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022) to the upper surface of the square steel plate,
NOTE : Do not mix Material No. 04-004 with Material No. 04-022.____ You can use Material No. 04-022 as an alternative to Material No. 04-004. Clean and degrease the parts before you use Material No. 04-022. - put the other square steel plate in position on the top of the greased steel plate, - move the aircraft and put the NLG wheels in position on the greased steel plates (Ref. TASK 09-10-00-584-002). - connect the tow-bar to the NLG leg, - fully turn the NLG wheels to the right with the tow-bar.

R R (1) In the cockpit, on the center pedestal, make sure that the free fall control handle is in the normal position.
R R (2) On the nose gear leg, on the electrical box, put the towing lever in the TOWING position.
R (3) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-
R 002).

B. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate
the landing gear control lever.
(2) Put a container for hydraulic fluid below the cylinder.
(3)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(4)
Obey the applicable safety precautions before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
