R (1) In the cockpit, on the panel 400VU put warning notice(s) in position
R to tell persons not to operate the landing gear control lever.
R (2) On the steering handwheels (CAPT and F/O) and on the brake pedals,
R put warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to operate
R them.
R (3) Put the warning notice(s) in position to tell persons not to
R pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
R - on the panel 40VU in the cockpit,
R - on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system, access
R door (196BB).
R (4) Put the safety barriers in position.
R (5) Put a container below the servo-control to drain the hydraulic fluid.

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Servo-Valve
(1)
Precaution NOTE : When you remove the rubber protective coating, use a spatula
____ to prevent damage to the surfaces of the components.
(2)
Remove the cap (4).
(3)
Connect a hose to the valve (3).
(4)
Slowly loosen the nut (2) to open the valve (3) and drain the hydraulic fluid.
(5)
When no more fluid flows out, remove the hose and tighten the nut (2) to close the valve (3).
(6)
Remove the sleeve (10)
(7)
Disconnect the electrical connector (5). Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connector.
(8)
Discard the sleeve (10).
(9)
Cut and remove the lockwire and remove the screws (6).
(10)
Remove the servo-valve (1).
(11)
Remove and discard the packing (7) and (9). NOTE : When you remove the servo -valve from the nose wheel steering
____ servo- control (6GC), the hydraulic fluid in its body will flow out and can get on the servo-valve electrical connectors. Clean and dry them before the subsequent step.
(12)
Put the blanking caps on the electrical connectors (8).
