3. Job Set-up

A. General
(1) Put a warning placard in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate R the landing gear or the N/WS.
(2)
On the panel 400VU, make sure that the L/G normal control lever is in the DOWN position and the A/SKID & N/W STRG switch is ON.
(3)
On the nose gear leg, on the nose wheel steering deactivation electrical box, make sure that the towing lever is in the normal position (engaged position).
(4)
Make sure that the N/WS handwheels and the rudder pedals are in the neutral position.
(5) Make sure that RUD TRIM indicator shows 0.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Move the aircraft and position the nosewheels on the square steel plates
(a)
Position a steel plate in front of the wheels
(b)
Apply a thick layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the upper surface of the steel plate
(c)
Put the other steel plate on the top of the greased steel plate
(d)
Move the aircraft and position the nose wheels on the greased steel plates (Ref. TASK 09-10-00-584-002)
