 Subtask 32-31-00-720-069 
R  G. Operational Check to Ensure Safety Valve Closes at 260 kts 
R R R R R R R  CAUTION : OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS WHEN YOU DO THE TEST TO PREVENT DAMAGE_______ TO INSTRUMENTS: - PRESSURE SET MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 1050 hPa (31 in Hg) OR LESS THAN 115 hPa (3.39 in Hg) - CHANGES IN PRESSURE MUST NOT BE MORE THAN 6000 FEET/MINUTE - DO NOT SUDDENLY OPEN LINES TO AMBIENT AIR WHILE THE PRESSURE GENERATOR IS CONNECTED. 
R R R R  CAUTION : THE TOTAL PRESSURE IN THE PITOT SYSTEM MUST NEVER BE LESS THAN_______ THE STATIC PRESSURE. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PITOT AND THE STATIC PRESSURE CIRCUITS MUST NEVER BE MORE THAN 368 hPa (10.86 in Hg).

1. On the panel 20VU: 
- set the IR1 selector switch to 
ATT. 
R  2. Set the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR 
R  to give a signal of 268 to 270

R  3. Try to move the applicable ground 
R  door-operating handle to the 
R  CLOSE position. 






R  4. Slowly reduce the signal from the 
R  GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to 
R  between 255 and 265 kts. 
R  5. Make sure that the travel range 
R  of the applicable MLG door is 
R  clear. 
R  6. Put the applicable ground 
R  door-operating handle to the 
R  CLOSE position. 
R  7. Make sure that the travel range 
R  of the MLG door is clear. Move 
R  the ground door-operating handle 
R  to the OPEN position. 
R  8. Put the ground door-operating 
handle to the CLOSE position. 
R  9. Set the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR 
R  to OFF.

The Air Data Inertial Reference Unit 1(ADIRU 1) energizes.
The handle will not move.
NOTE : There can be unwanted movement
____ of the ground door-operating handle because of remaining green hydraulic pressure. If the handle can be moved more than five times, it is possible that the safety valve 49GA is defective.
The safety valve 49GA energizes (valve OPEN).
The MLG door closes.
The MLG door opens.
The MLG door closes.

R  H. Removal of the Test Equipment 
R  (1) Disconnect and remove the ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment from 
R  the static probes 7DA1 and 8DA1. 
R  (2) Disconnect and remove the ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE from the pitot 
R  probe 9DA1. 
R  (3) Remove the colored adhesive tape from the pitot probe 9DA1 drain 
R  holes and the AOA sensor 3FP1.
 Subtask 32-31-00-480-065 
R  J. Installation of the Test Equipment 
R  (1) Connect the GROUND PRESSURE GENERATOR to the static and pitot probes 
R  as follows: 
R  (a) Connect the ADAPTER COVER-STATIC PORT equipment to the static 
R  probes 7DA2 and 8DA2 
R  (b) Connect the ADAPTOR-CHARGING,PITOT PROBE to the pitot probe 9DA2. 
R  (c) Seal the drain holes of the pitot probe 9DA2 with colored 
R  adhesive tape. 
R  CAUTION : WHEN YOU SEAL THE DRAIN HOLE IN THE PITOT PROBE, DO NOT_______ 
R  SEAL THE HOLE DIRECTLY WITH THE COLORED ADHESIVE TAPE. 
R  ALWAYS PUT A PIECE OF PLASTIC ON THE HOLE AND USE THE 
R  TAPE TO ATTACH THE PLASTIC. 
R  IF YOU SEAL THE DRAIN HOLE DIRECTLY WITH THE ADHESIVE 
R  TAPE, THERE IS A RISK THAT SOME OF THE ADHESIVE WILL 
R  STAY ON THE HOLE AND COLLECT PARTICLES. THIS CAN 
R  SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSE BLOCKAGE OF THE HOLE AND THUS 
R  INCORRECT OPERATION OF THE PROBE. 
R  (d) Move the vane of the AOA sensor 3FP2 to the top (nose-up) 
R  position. Keep the vane in this position with colored adhesive 
R  tape.

 

 Subtask 32-31-00-720-070 
R  K. Operational Check to Ensure Safety Valve Closes at 260 kts
 (1) On the panel 20VU, do the steps that follow: - set the IR1 selector switch to OFF - set the IR3 selector switch to ATT. This will energize the ADIRU 3.
