R (1) Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-
R 00-650-001) .
R (2) Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the
R applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).
R (3) Make sure the access platform is below the applicable zone 540(640).
R (4) Make sure that the applicable access panel is removed 540AB(640AB)
R (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-001).
R (5) Make sure that the applicable sure door 540BZ(640BZ) is open and the
R HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) (98D57004014000) is installed.

R A. Preparation for Installation
R WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL_______
R MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR.
R OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS.
R PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING.
R DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH.
R DO NOT SMOKE.
R DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS.
R THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT.
R GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
R (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area with a
R MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-004).
R (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are
R clean and in the correct condition.
R (3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (4) Lubricate the new O-ring (1) with FUELS (Material No. 01-001) or
R COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-012).

R B. Installation of the Check Valve 222QM(223QM), 224QM(225QM)
R (1) Install the new O-ring (1) on the check-valve (2).
R (2) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
R (3) Install the check-valve (2).
R (4) Connect the pipe (3) to the check-valve (2).

R C. Close Access
R (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other
R items.
R (2) Remove the HOOK-COVER (RIB2-SURGE DOORS) and carefully close the
R applicable RIB 2 surge door:
R - FOR 222QM, 223QM
R close 540BZ
R - FOR 224QM, 225QM
R close 640BZ.
R (3) Install the applicable wing access panel (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-
R 002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-400-001):
R - FOR 222QM, 223QM
R install 540AB.
R - FOR 224QM, 225QM
R install 640AB.

R D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
R breaker(s):
R 1QA, 2QA, 7QA, 8QA, 11QA, 12QA.
