(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-001) when you do work in a fuel tank.
(2) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-12-43-860-050
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Defuel the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Drain the remaining fuel from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-003).

C. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform below the zone 540(640).
(2)
Remove the applicable access panels (Ref. TASK 28-10-00-910-002), (Ref. TASK 57-27-11-000-002):

FOR 15QM
remove 540JB, 540KB
-
FOR 18QM
remove 640JB, 640KB.
(3)
Remove the applicable spill-pipe diffuser (Ref. TASK 28-25-46-000-001).
(4)
Remove the applicable fuel pipes (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-000-001).

A. Removal of the Vent Float Valve 15QM(18QM)
(1)
Remove the bolt (4) and disconnect the end of the bonding strap (2).
(2)
Remove the bolts (3) and the nuts (1).
(3)
Remove the fuel vent valve (5) and discard the O-ring (6).
