B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the applicable fuel tank is defueled (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(2)
Make sure that the remaining fuel has been drained from the applicable fuel tank (Ref. TASK 28-25-00-650-001).
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is below the applicable zone 540(640).

R A. Preparation for Installation
R (1) Examine the sealing ring (2) for damage. If necessary, remove and
R discard it.
R (2) Install the new sealing ring (2):
R (a) Remove the used sealant from the groove in the access panel (3)
R with a non-metalic scraper.
R (b) Clean the groove in the access panel (3) with a MISCELLANEOUS
R (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material
R No. 11-026)
R (c) Apply a thin layer of SEALANTS (Material No. 09-007) to the
R groove in the access panel (3).
R (d) While the sealant is wet, put the new sealing ring (2), with the
R flat edge down, into the groove in the access panel (3).
R (3) Clean the component interface and the adjacent areas with a
R MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS
R (Material No. 11-004).
R (4) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
R (5) Remove the protective cover from the pressure relief outlet (1).

R R R (6) Apply a thin layer of SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the bolts (4). Apply to the shank, the threads and below the head of each bolt (4).

B. Installation of the Overpressure-Protector Outlet
(1) Make sure that all of the bonding straps are correctly installed and attached (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-002), before you install the access panel 540HB(640HB).
(2) Apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-004) to the fastener bolt (4) holes.
(3) Put the access panel (3) in position.
CAUTION : YOU MUST REMOVE AND INSTALL THE BOLTS IN THE SPECIFIED_______ SEQUENCE. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ACCESS PANEL.
(4) Install the bolts (4) and TORQUE in the sequence A thru AB, in two steps, to these values:
(a) Firstly to between 25 and 30 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.33 m.daN).
(b) Secondly to between 140 and 160 lbf.in (1.58 and 1.80 m.daN).

B. Installation of the Overpressure-Protector Outlet
