(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures (Ref. TASK 28-00-00-910-001) when you do work on the fuel system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Refuel each of the wing tanks to a minimum of 1500 kg (3306.9330 lb) (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003). Make sure that the wing tank outer cells are full of fuel.
4. Procedure

A. BITE Test
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Reset the FQIC as follows:
(a)
On the panels 49VU and 121VU:
- open the circuit breakers 1QT and 2QT for a minimum of 10 seconds.
(b)
On the panels 49VU and 121VU:
-close the circuit breakers 1QT and 2QT.
(3)
Do the test that follows: NOTE : When you push (in) the line key adjacent to FUEL> indication,
____ the Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) can initially show CH1 or CH2. In this case, the test starts with CH1. CH2 will only show first if CH1 has a failure.
