A. Safety Precautions
(1) Put the safety barriers in position. Subtask 28-21-00-860-061-A
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
On the ECAM control panel (CP), push (in) the FUEL P/BSW:
-make sure that the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
(4)
Make sure that each fuel tank contains at least 2000 kg (4409.2440 lb) of fuel. Refuel if necessary (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(5)
Start the engines (Ref. TASK 71-00-00-710-003).

A. Operational Test of The Fuel Flow through the Fuel Pumps with Gravity Feed (Left Wing Tank Main Pumps)

With the aircraft engines at FLX TO/MCT power and the fuel tank pumps running.
2.
On the panel 40VU: On the ECAM lower DU:
-release (out) the X-FEED - the FUEL page shows the X-FEED valve pushbutton switch (P/BSW) symbol closed (amber cross-line).

-release (out) the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW.
3. On the ECAM upper DU:
-do a check of the N2% and EGT indications.
4. On the panel 40VU:
-push (in) the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW.
On the panel 40VU:
-
the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW OFF lights come on.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the FUEL page shows the symbols for the left fuel-tank pump 1 and 2 are off (amber cross-line).
On the ECAM upper DU, these amber cautions are shown:
-L TK PUMPS 1 & 2 LO PRESS
On the panels 130VU and 131VU:
-
the MASTER CAUT lights come on.
One chime sounds.
On the ECAM upper DU:
-
the engine N2% and EGT deg.Cindications stay stable for 60 seconds at FLX TO/MCT power.
On the panel 40VU:
-
the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW FAULTlights come on momentarily and then go off
-when the FAULT lights go off, the L TK PUMPS 1 and 2 P/BSW OFF lights go off.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the left wing fuel pump 1 and pump 2 (amber cross-line) cautions go off
-
the pump symbols show green in-line.
