Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001), then:
- on the ECAM control panel (CP), push (in) the FUEL push icon switch
-make sure that the FUEL page shows on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
(3)
Make sure that the opposite wing tank contains sufficient fuel for the test. If necessary refuel (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(4)
On the panel 40VU:
-push (in) the X-FEED P/BSW.
4. Procedure

NOTE : The wing-tank fuel-pump suction valves have a controlled fuel leak
____ rate when in the closed position. The fuel flow (controlled leak) is to prevent the formation of ice in the mouth of the suction valve. The fuel flow is only from the center tank to the wing tank. The maximum permitted flow is 210 kg (463 lb/Hour).
