Mail TWO copies of your application package to the AWAM Scholarship address listed on the application.
Additional Requirements: Note individual scholarship requirements that may be in addition to the above general AWAM
requirements. (Tip: When writing essays, make them unique for the scholarship you are applying for.)

AWAM is pleased to accept nominations for its 2010 awards. Nominees must have demonstrated, among
other qualities, their commitment to community and/or campus service, leadership, responsibility, and
professionalism. Self-nomination is an option. AWAM members, please take a moment to honor those who
might otherwise not be recognized.
The awards for 2010 include:
*** The Mary Ann Eiff - Teacher of the Year Award ***
Named after first year recipient Mary Ann Eiff, the goal of this award is to honor the aircraft maintenance
teacher who has inspired others. This individual can be a woman or a man. It is someone who supports and
respects women students and their potential role in the future of aviation technology. Certainly there is
someone you know who has inspired you!
*** Student of the Year Award ***
Honoring a deserving, hardworking student with a great attitude, this individual must have been a student
(maybe yourself) during the year 2009. Remember, this is the kind of award that will last on a resume long
after the prizes are used.
*** Beyond All Odds Award ***
This award recognizes inspiring individuals who have been devoted to the maintenance field and have had the
courage to make their dreams come true. This award honors an individual who has become successful,
despite enormous challenges. Take a moment of your time to recognize that person you admire, who has
achieved great things.
