4.5.2.2.18 Functionality “Insert object”
The functionality “Insert object” enables a user to insert an external element (PDF, doc,
wave…) tag in the XML content of the document being edited.
The objects available are the one that are managed by the multimedia library.
Activation condition:
A Document Unit is opened in the Document Unit Editor.
The type of Document Unit permits the insertion of an “extobject” element.
Description:
The user must be placed in a document context where “extobject” is allowed (for
example abnormalproc/procitem/procbody/action/comment/launcher) and choose to
insert a new tag ( ).

Once selected “extobject” in the insert list, click on “insert” button. The insert Object
dialog box appears.

The new external object tag is inserted in current Document.
User should now insert linktext for the external object. The linktext will be the hypertext
displayed by LPC Doc Browser, which will load the external object. Alternative will be a
text displayed for help.

4.5.2.2.19 Functionality “Edit extobject”
The functionality “Edit extobject” enables a user to edit an existing extobject node in the
XML content of the document being edited.

4.5.2.2.20 Functionality “Insert Equation-image”
The functionality “Insert Equation-image” enables a user to insert an Equation-image tag
in the XML content of the document being edited.
The Equation-images available are the one that are managed by the external document
manager, with the mime-type not defines in as an image in the server.properties file:
images.mime.type.prefixes.
Activation condition:
A Document Unit is opened in the Document Unit Arbortext Editor.
The type of Document Unit permits the insertion of an “equation-image” element.
Description:
The user must have inserted an “equation” tag and placed the cursor just before the
“equation” end tag. Then the Insert Tag function ( ) allows to insert the “equationimage”
element.
