Description:
After having selected a manual in the Manual Manager tree, the authorized user may
activate the “Export Database Manual” functionality by the menu item “Manual>Export DB
Manual”.

Alternatively, the authorized user may activate the “Export DB Manual” functionality by the
toolbar button of the Manual Manager.
The functionality shows the corresponding Wizard “Export DB Manual”.

On first step, the user must choose the location of the output file. He can type the path of
the directory, or use the file chooser to do the same task by pressing the “Browse” button.

The export package composed by four files will automatically be named according to the
following format:
“DB_[Manual Code]_yyyymmdd_hhmmss”.
The data will be export in the 6.1 format, according to the manual format.
On the last screen, when the export process is launch, two progress bars display the
advance of the exporting process. The first progress bar represents the global process. The
second bar represents the sub tasks of the global process.

In the central panel of the Wizard, the detail of the advance of the process is also displayed
in the form off a percentage.
If errors occur during the process, this one stops immediately and the modifications are
cancelled on the desk of the user.
At any time the user can interrupt manually the process pressing the cancel button. If the
process is interrupted, specific information are displayed in the central panel.
On last step, if the process is cancelled or if the process terminates, a close button appears
in the place of the cancel button.
At the end of the process, an export manual will be available in the selected directory.
All data related to the manual are exported:
• The product elements contained in the releases
• The external documents
• The effectivity groups and aircrafts
• The revision marks
• The pre/post SB
• The package informations
• The specific FLIGHT OPS DOC MANAGER elements linked to product elements:
o History of DU and external documents
o The users linked to this product (through document units or external documents)

3.2.2 Import Database Manual
The functionality “Import Database Manual” enables users to import an exported manual
and all related data such as users, tasks, notes …, from another Flight Ops Doc Manager
application.
A manual can be imported only if it has not already been loaded in the application.
Activation condition:
