This functionality shows up the “Move to …” dialog box.
“Move to…” dialog box is displayed with pre-selected destination.
The user must select his item destination in a tree corresponding to the manual Working
release.
The permission to move elements depends on the type of the copied item and on the type of the
destination item.

4.2.2.9 Rename element
The functionality “Rename element” enables users to rename an item other than a
Product Structure, a PSL, and a Document Unit.
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
The Manual Explorer must be displayed.
The Working tab must be selected.
The item must not be checked-out and must not contain items checked-out by other
user.

The item must be a PSL, a GDU or an Invariant.
Description:
The user may activate the “Rename” functionality by the menu item “Rename”.

This functionality shows up the “Rename” dialog box.
“Rename” dialog box is displayed with pre-selected title document corresponding to the old
name of the selected item. The title field must not be empty.
When the element has been renamed, it is flagged as customized.
To rename a DU, the user shall check it out and change its title through the metadata tab of the
editor.

4.2.3.1.1 Check-out Document
The functionality “Check-out Document” enables a user to check-out a Document Unit.
The checked-out Document Unit is locked and is available for edition. Indeed a document can
be edited only if it has previously been checked-out by the same user.
Only this user is able to modify the content and the metadata of the checked-out Document
Unit.
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
The Manual Explorer is displayed on an opened manual.
The Working Release tab is selected.
A Document Unit is selected in the Explorer tree.
The Document Unit is not already checked-out.
Description:
The user may select in the Explorer tree a Document Unit not already checked-out or reserved
and activate the “Check-out” functionality by the menu item “Check-out ”.

Alternatively, the authorized user may activate the “Check-out Document” functionality
by the toolbar button .
