The Document Unit is locked by the user. The Document Unit icon is modified and refreshed if
necessary to be sure to modify the last document version.
4.2.3.1.2 Check-in Document
The functionality “Check-in Document” enables a user to check-in a Document Unit.
After customization the user commits his modifications via the “Check-in Document”
functionality. The modification made on the document will then be stored in the Flight Ops Doc
Manager repository. So they will be available for all users.
The version of the document is automatically incremented.
Only the user who has locked the Document Unit can check it in.
Activation condition:
The connected user must be authenticated with one of those available profiles:
• Manual responsible profile
• Author profile
The Manual Explorer is displayed on an opened manual.
The Working tab is selected.
A Document Unit is selected in the Explorer tree and is in checked-out state.
The user that has made the check-out is the current user.
Description:
The user may select in the Explorer tree one of his checked-out Document Unit and
activate the “Check-in Document” functionality by the menu item “Check-in ”.

Alternatively, the authorized user may activate the “Check-in” functionality by the toolbar
button .

This functionality shows up a “Check-in” dialog box. The document version is automatically
incremented. The user may change the document version. The version cannot be lowered from
the one that is proposed.
4.2.3.1.3 Cancel check-out Document
The functionality “Cancel check-out Document” enables a user to uncheck a Document Unit and
so unlock it.

unintentional locking problems, an administrator has the possibility to cancel check-out on every
document unit of every manual.

The Working tab is selected.
A Document Unit is selected in the Explorer tree.
The user is the one that has previously checked-out the document or the user has a
Root profile.
Description:
The user must select in the Explorer tree one of his checked-out Document Unit and
activate the “Cancel check-out Document” functionality by the menu item “Cancel checkout”.
