(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P18-3 Panel
1) 3F9, OXYGEN SYSTEM PASS R or
PASS OXYGEN RIGHT
2) 3F8, OXYGEN SYSTEM PASS L or PASS OXYGEN LEFT
E. Get Access to the Actuator

WARNING: YOU MUST DISARM THE OXYGEN GENERATOR WITH THE SAFETY PIN IF THE
_______ OXYGEN GENERATOR WAS NOT FIRED. A FIRED OXYGEN GENERATOR GETS VERY HOT (450°F OR HIGHER). A HOT OXYGEN GENERATOR CAN CAUSE INJURY IF YOU TOUCH IT.

To get access to the actuator on the passenger service unit, refer to AMM 25-23-61/201 to lower the PSU.

For access to the actuator on the forward and aft left attendant's mask boxes, do the steps that follow (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put an 1/8-inch rod into the latch access hole in the service unit.
(b)
To open the mask box door, push the rod to release the door latch.

(c) Permit the oxygen masks to fall.

(3) For access to the lavatory and the aft aisle right attendant's mask boxes, do the steps that follow (Fig. 401):
(a)
Put an 1/8-inch rod into the latch access hole adjacent to the test stop button.
(b)
Push the rod to release the door latch and open the mask box door.
(c)
Let the oxygen masks fall.

(4) On the attendant's and lavatory mask boxes, do the steps that follow:
(a)
Hold the mask box.
(b)
Remove the screws shown in Fig. 402 that attach the mask box to the support brackets or the shroud.
(c)
Slowly lower the mask box until you get access to the actuator electrical connections.
F. Remove the Actuator (Fig. 402)

(1) Disconnect the electrical wires.
