 B.  The troubleshooting procedures that follow are based on the performance of the system operational test and are shown in tree-type format to help in fast fault isolation. Test steps are connected to show OK condition path. When all the steps in the OK condition path are followed, the system is operable.
 C.  When the test step fails, follow the NOT OK line to the box that contains the trouble symptom. Do the corrective action, then do the step again at which the failure was found and complete the test to check out the system.
 D.  All troubleshooting procedures assumes that the wiring is OK and that electrical power is available. If corrective action in procedure does not correct the problem, use the wiring diagram to do a check of the wiring.
 E.  Since the system is normally off, operational troubles can occur only when the cabin pressure decreases to an equivalent altitude of 13,250 to 14,900 feet or during ground test under simulated altitude conditions.
 F.  Equipment and Materials
 (1)  
Vacuum source capable of producing a vacuum pressure of 15 inches of mercury absolute with a minimum flow of one cfm.

 (2)  
Vacuum gage.

 (3)  
Altitude pressure switch adapter kit - P/N JAK136 (Consolidated Controls Corp.)

 G.  Prepare for Trouble Shooting
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
On each service unit, deploy test stop button (Fig. 101):

 (a)  
Use a a small flat tool, carefully push the test stop button down.

 (b)  
Hold the button and pull down to the limit of travel.

 (c)  
Turn the button counterclockwise 90° to the test position.

 

 (3)  
Make sure that these circuit breakers are closed:

 (a)  
On the indicator master dim bus, P6 panel: 1) BAT 2) NO. 1 DC 3) NO. 2 DC 4) SECT 1 5) SECT 2 6) SECT 3 7) SECT 4 8) SECT 5 9) SECT 6 10) DIM & TEST

 (b)  
MASTER CAUTION
 1) AIR COND
 2) ANTI - ICE
 3) FUEL
 4) ANNUNCIATOR NO. 1
 5) ANNUNCIATOR BAT


 (c)  
P18 Panel - OXYGEN SYSTEM
 1) IND
 2) MANUAL CONTROL
 3) PASS R
 4) PASS L

 


 (4)  
On the P7 lightshield, push the MASTER CAUTION light.

 (5)  
Make sure the MASTER CAUTION and the OVERHEAD annunciator lights go off.

 (2) (3) (4) (5)  Clean and dry flat bottom surface of switch with a lint-free cloth.Install the O-ring in the O-ring groove on the adapter fitting.Use the three screws to attach the fitting to the bottom of the switch.Safety the screws per MS33540 with lockwire.
