(c) For one person generators, do the steps that follow: 1) Weigh the generator.
a) If the generator weighs less than 300 grams, the generator fired.
NOTE: Do not install this generator.

D. Install the Oxygen Generator

Put the generator in its position with the safety pin and warning flag in the direction of the release cable.

Close the generator mounting bracket and latch the mounting bracket fasteners.

Connect the supply line manifold and push it tightly on the oxygen generator.

Do the activation procedure for the oxygen generator (AMM 35-22-11/201).

WARNING: YOU MUST INSTALL A RELEASE PIN OR A SAFETY PIN WITH A
_______ WARNING FLAG ON THE GENERATOR. IF THE RELEASE PIN OR THE SAFETY PIN IS PULLED AND THE GENERATOR FIRES, THE GENERATOR SURFACE TEMPERATURE CAN BE 450°F AND HIGHER. THE HOT GENERATOR CAN BURN YOU. YOU MUST NOT TOUCH THE GENERATOR UNTIL IT IS COOL.

Carefully pull the release pin from the generator firing pin.

Pull the mask tubing from the generator outlets.
D. Remove the Oxygen Generator

(1) Loosen the two screws that attach the heat shield and the generator assembly to the mask box.

CAUTION: YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE THE OXYGEN GENERATOR.
_______ DO NOT APPLY FORCE TO AN OXYGEN GENERATOR OR LET IT FALL. THESE ACTIONS CAN PREVENT THE OPERATION OF THE OXYGEN GENERATOR. DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THE FIRING MECHANISM FROM THE OXYGEN GENERATOR. IT CANNOT BE ASSEMBLED AGAIN.
(2) Remove the assembly from the mask box and remove the heat shield from the generator.

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU OBEY ALL APPLICABLE REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
_______ FOR THE TRANSPORT OF OXYGEN GENERATORS. IF THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE GENERATORS HAS EXPIRED, YOU MUST FIRE THE GENERATORS AND MAKE SURE THE OXIDIZER CORE IS EMPTY. THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE YOU PREPARE THE GENERATORS FOR TRANSPORT. IF THE GENERATORS ARE NOT FIRED AND EMPTY, THEY CAN ACCIDENTALLY FIRE DURING TRANSPORT AND CAUSE HEAT AND IGNITION. THIS CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
