The oxygen flow is audible while the mask harness deflates.

 (o)  
Make sure you can move the oxygen dilution control on the mask/regulator to 100%.

 (p)  
Set the dilution control to N.


 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

 (1)  Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 6.  Pressure Indication Test________________________
 A. General
 (1)  You can use the system cylinder and an external pressure gage for the test of the pressure indication system.
 B. Standard Tools and Equipment
 (1)  
Caps and Plugs - Clean, Packaged (for oxygen ports and open lines)

 (2)  
A pressure gage with the properties that follow:

 (a)  
The gage must have 0 - 2000 psi with a precision of |2% and graduations not more than 100 psi apart.

 (b)  
The gages dial diameter must not be less than 4 inches.

 


 C. Prepare for the Test
 S 875-056
 (1)  To bleed the system pressure, do the steps that follow:
 (a)  
Close the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen cylinder.

 (b)  
Make sure the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen cylinder in the control cabin is open.

 (c)  
On the captain's mask stowage box, push the sliding control in the direction of the arrow and hold.

 (d)  
On the captain's mask/regulator, do the steps that follow: 1) Move the dilution control to 100%. 2) Push the emergency control knob and hold. 3) Monitor the flow blinker and make sure it becomes a yellow

 color and then becomes a black color.

 (e)  
Release the sliding control and the emergency control knob.


 S 485-112
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT USE COUPLING BODY AS A LEVER. USE A WRENCH ON THE COUPLING HEX NUT, OR DAMAGE TO COUPLING CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  Remove the plug from the cylinder coupling and connect a 0 - 2000 psi gage.
 D. Pressure Indication Test
 S 865-064
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (2)  
Make sure these circuit breakers are closed:


 (a)  P18 Oxygen System Indication Panel
 1) OXYGEN SYSTEM IND

 (3) Make sure that the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen system is open.
 S 865-108
 WARNING: YOU MUST OPEN THE SHUTOFF VALVE SLOWLY, OR HIGH
_______ TEMPERATURES CAN OCCUR. THIS CAN START AN IGNITION WITH THE OXYGEN AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND CAN CAUSE DAMAGE THE AIRPLANE AND THE EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  
Slowly open the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen cylinder.

 (5)  
Make sure the value on the high pressure indicator is less than |100 psi of the indication on the 0 - 2000 psi gage.


 E. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
 S 865-072
 (1)  
Close the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen cylinder.

 S 875-075

 (2)  
To bleed the system pressure, do the steps that follow:

 (a)  
Close the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen cylinder.

 (b)  
Make sure the shutoff valve of the crew oxygen system in the control cabin is open.

 (c)
