A. Inspection Procedure
(1)
Do a general visual inspection of the external surfaces of the lower skins of the longitudinal lap joints in the crack stopper areas. Do this at STGR18 LH/RH, between FR35 and FR47/51:
(a) Look for scratches, dents, cracks, corrosion and damage to the surface protection.
(2)
If you find scratches, dents and/or cracks:
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-11-00-001) for the classification of the damage.
(b)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 53-31-11-101) for the allowable damage limits for this structure.
(c)
Repair the scratches which are in the limits (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-300-001) or (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-300-004), as necessary.
(d)
Repair the dents which are in the limits (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-300-003).
(e)
For damage that is more than the limits for minor damage, refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 53-31-11-201) for the correct repair data.
(3)
If you find corrosion:
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-22-00-001) for the general corrosion data.
(b)
Repair the corroded areas (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-001) or (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-002), as necessary.
(4)
If you find damage to the surface protection:
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-23-11-001) for the general data about the paint coating of the aircraft.
(b)
Repair the damage to the paint system (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-001) or (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-003), as necessary.

R (1) Do a general visual inspection of the external surfaces of the lower

R (a) Look for scratches, dents, cracks, corrosion and damage to the
R surface protection.
R (2) If you find scratches, dents and/or cracks:
R (a) Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-11-00-001) for the classification
R of the damage.
R (b) Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 53-31-11-101) for the allowable
R damage limits for this structure.
R (c) Repair the scratches which are in the limits (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-
R 300-001) or (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-300-004), as necessary.
R (d) Repair the dents which are in the limits (Ref. TASK 51-73-11-300-
R 003).
R (e) For damage that is more than the limits for minor damage, refer
R to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 53-31-11-201) for the correct repair data.
R (3) If you find corrosion:
R (a) Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-22-00-001) for the general
R corrosion data.
R (b) Repair the corroded areas (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-001) or
R (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-002), as necessary.
R (4) If you find damage to the surface protection:
R (a) Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-23-11-001) for the general data
R about the paint coating of the aircraft.
R (b) Repair the damage to the paint system (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-
R 001) or (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-003), as necessary.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
