A. Preparation for Installation CAUTION : BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE LOUVER PANEL. IF YOU INSTALL IT
_______ INCORRECTLY, THE BELLY FAIRING WILL PRESSURIZE AND CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the bonded seals of the panels 197GB (198GB) for condition. If a seal is defective, do the subsequent repair procedure.

Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Do an inspection of the seals on the panels 197GB and 198MB and replace the seals if it is necessary.
NOTE : This seal replacement procedure is only applicable to the
____ panels 197GB and 198MB.
(a)
Drill out the rivets and remove the defective seal (Ref. ASRM 514200).
(b)
Remove the used adhesive. WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE

(c)
Make the mating area of the panel surface rough with emery cloth grade 400.
(d)
Carefully make the mating surface of the seal rough with emery cloth grade 120 to 240.
(e)
Clean the components.
THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S.
USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A
MASK.
1_ Remove the used adhesive from the panel with the CLEANING
AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a lint-free cotton cloth,
MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE
_______ THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
1_ Clean all the repair areas and the seal with the CLEANING
AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a lint-free cotton cloth,
MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(f) You can use for the bonding of the seal the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-033), the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-004) or the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-004A).
1_ When you use the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-033):
a_ Apply a layer of the BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-033) to the seal.
b_ Put the seal in position and align the holes in the seal with the pre-drilled holes in the panel.
c_ Apply a continuous force for 60 seconds over the full length of the bonded seal.
NOTE : You must install the seal on the panel in less than____ ten minutes from when you applied the adhesive.
NOTE : It is not possible to move the seal after you____ install it. If the seal is not in the correct position, do the installation procedure again.
