Clean the inspection area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003), if necessary.
(2)
Make sure that the surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.
(3)
Do a visual check of the inspection area for damage or
discontinuities.
(4)
Make sure that there is no:
(a)
Corrosion damage:
-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block 001) for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents, bumps...):
-If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block 001) for damage classification and corrective action.

A. Inspection

(1)
Do a special detailed inspection of the structure above the forward cargo-compartment door. This inspection is applicable to the inside radius of the cross-beam on the fittings at FR25, FR26 and FR27 (Ref. NTM 532140,P.Block-601).
(2)
Make a report of the damage after the NDT inspection:
(a)
Corrosion damage:
-If you find corrosion damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 512200,P.Block 001) for types of corrosion, inspection, removal and corrosion protection.
(b)
Other damage (cracks, scratches, stress, marks, dents, bumps...):
-If you find this type of damage, refer to the Structural Repair Manual (Ref. SRM 511100,P.Block 001) for damage classification and corrective action.
5. Close-up

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
