The proximity switches with built-in electronic system are 6WN1, 6WN2, 5WN1, 5WN2, 7WN1, 7WN2, 4WN1, 4WN2, 21WV1, 21WV2, 19WV1, 19WV2, 17WV1, 17WV2, 15WV1, 15WV2, 11WV1, 11WV2, 13WV1, 13WV2, 40WV, 38WV, 36WV, 23WV, 59WV1, 59WV2, 61WV1, 61WV2.

(1)
These proximity switches transmit the indication:
-
the position of the passenger/crew doors, emergency exits and avionics compartment doors
-
the status of the escape slide (armed or disarmed).
(2)
They have two independent outputs :
-in the on state when the target is near the proximity switch.
- or in the off state when the target is away.
One of these outputs transmits the position of a door or the status
of an escape slide to the ECAM system and to the SLIDE ARMED
indicator lights (see 52-73-00).
The other output transmits the position of a door or the status of an
escape slide to the emergency power supply units (WL circuit) to
control the lighting of the escape slides.
(3)
They can be supplied with 5.4 to 32VDC and their consumption is less than 7mA. They have their own electronic system, required to process the signals.
B. Proximity Switches with Separate Electronic System The proximity switches with separate electronic system are 32WV, 34WV, 28WV and 30WV.
-They transmit the indication of the position of the cargo compartment doors.
-When the target is near the proximity switch , the phase shift between the supply current and voltage of the proximity switch coil varies ; this variation is measured by the LGCIU 1. The position of the target is sent to the FWCs through the ARINC 429 busbar. These proximity switches are listed in the document ABS 121-10.

A. Door Indications on the Display Units of the ECAM System
(1)
Indication without warning
(a)
During the flight phases No. 1 and No. 10, the DOOR page is automatically displayed on the lower ECAM display unit. If the doors are closed, the door symbols and the wording are green. If one of the doors is open, its symbols and corresponding wording are amber. When the slides are disarmed, there is no wording. When they are armed, the word SLIDE appears in white opposite the doors concerned. No data is displayed on the upper display unit.
(b)
To call up the DOOR page in flight, the pilot pushes the DOOR pushbutton switch on the ECAM control panel. To cancel the door warning, the pilot must push the CLR pushbutton switch.
