All signals from the doors are sent to the lower ECAM display unit and are
displayed in amber.
If the signal continues to be sent, an aural warning can be heard and the
MASTER CAUT lights come on.

A. Get Access
(1) Put an access platform in position at the applicable cargo compartment door.
4. Procedure

A. Visual Check of the inoperative FWD and/or AFT Cargo Compartment Doors.
(1)
Push the handle flap in, to release the door handle.
(2)
Pull the door handle up from the door structure in the UNLOCKED direction until the door handle moves 65 degrees.
NOTE : Do not unlock the cargo door at this time.

(3) Make sure that you can see the red marks of each safety in the indication windows of the access panels.
(4) Push the door handle down into the LOCKED position again.
(5) Do a visual check of the external cargo door to make sure that: - the cargo door is aligned with the fuselage - the vent door is fully closed - the green marks of each safety cam are in view in the indication windows of the access panels at the lower cargo-door edge - the door handle is aligned with the cargo door contour.

R A. Visual Check of the inoperative FWD and/or AFT Cargo Compartment Doors.
R R (1) Push the handle flap and pull the locking handle away from the applicable cargo door.
R NOTE : Do not unlock the cargo door at this time.____
R R (2) Make sure that you can see the red marks of each safety in the indication windows of the access panels.
R (3) Push the locking handle into the recess of the handle flap again.
R R R R R R (4) Do a visual check of the external cargo door to make sure that: - the cargo door is aligned with the fuselage - the vent door is fully closed - the green marks of each safety cam are in view in the indication windows of the access panels at the lower cargo-door edge - the locking handle is aligned with the cargo door contour.

(1) Make an entry in the aircraft log book to record that: - the CARGO indication is defective on the lower ECAM DU - the cargo-compartment door is closed and locked.
