A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that access to the cockpit is available.

Subtask 52-51-00-040-056
A. Deactivation of the Key Pad (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 52-51-00-991-001)
NOTE : If the cockpit door closes during the deactivation procedure and____ no person is in the cockpit, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits. This will let you open the cockpit door from the cabin.
(1) Hold the front face of the control unit (1) and loosen the captive screws (2).
(2) Carefully remove the control unit (1) until you get access to the electrical connector (4).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the receptacle (3).
(4)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connector (4) and on the receptacle (3).
(5)
Safety the electrical connector (4) with tie-wraps on the adjacent fuselage structure.
(6)
Carefully install the control unit (1) and tighten the captive screws (2).
(7)
Put a warning notice on the overhead panel to tell the persons that
the keypad is deactivated. R
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1MQ.

B. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
(1)
Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(2)
Make an entry in the aircraft technical log that the lock function of the cockpit locking system is deactivated.
