A. Removal of the Latch Mechanisms
(1) Remove the two tie-rods (4) and (10) as follows:
(a) Remove the fasteners (15), the plugs (27), the screws (17), the washers (26) and the cover (16).
(b) Remove the fasteners (15), the plugs (29), the screws (13), the washers (28) and the cover (14).
(c) Remove the plugs (7), the screws (8) and the washers (25) from the center latch mechanism (5).
(d) Remove the screws (9) and the cover plate (6) from the center latch mechanism (5).
(e) Remove and discard the cotter pins (23) at each end of the tie-rods (4) and (10).
(f) Remove the washers (22), the bushes (19) and the clevis pins (18) from the levers (24).
(g) Remove the center latch mechanism (5) from the door (1).
(2) Remove the top and bottom latch mechanisms (2) and (11) as follows:
(a) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (30) from the top latch mechanism (2).
(b) Remove the top latch mechanism (2) from the door (1).
(c) Remove the screws (12) and the washers (31) from the bottom latch mechanism (11).
(d) Remove the bottom latch mechanism (11) from the door (1).

A. Installation of the Latch Mechanism
(1) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3) Put the top latch (2) in position and install the washers (30) and the screws (3).
(4) Make sure that the edge of the top latch (2) aligns with the edge of the door blade.
