A. Identification of the Proximity Switches in Relation with the Door
(1) The identification of the proximity switches is as follows:
(a)
4WN1 for the L FWD passenger/crew door
(b)
4WN2 for the R FWD passenger/crew door
(c)
7WN1 for the L AFT passenger/crew door

B. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position at the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.
(2)
Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3)
Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

A. Visual Check to Make Sure that Slide is in the ARMED Position
(1) Make sure the SLIDE ARMED white indicator light located in the cabin lining near the passenger/crew door is on.

B. Check of the Defective Proximity Switch
(1)
Clean the defective proximity switch with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-010) and MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(2)
If the fault continues:
(a) Replace the defective proximity switch. 1 If a new proximity switch is available:

-Remove the defective proximity switch (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-000-001) or (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-000-002).
-Install the new proximity switch (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-400-001) or (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-400-002).

2_ If no proximity switch is available, replace the defective
proximity switch by a proximity switch of the avionics
compartment doors.
- Do a check of the proximity switch you will remove. To do
this, do a test of the door warning system of the related
avionics compartment doors (Ref. TASK 52-71-00-710-001).
- Remove the proximity switch of the avionics compartment door
(Ref. TASK 52-71-14-000-001).
- Install this proximity switch on the applicable pax/crew
door (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-400-001) or (Ref. TASK 52-73-11-
400-002).
(b) If the fault continues:
-Refer to the MMEL document for dispatch conditions.

C. Close Access
(1)
Remove all the ground support equipment, the maintenance equipment, the standard and special tools and all other items.
(2)
Obey the special precautions after the work on the door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3)
Close the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842 (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
