Make sure that the gasket (6) is in a good condition. If necessary replace the gasket (6).
(4)
Carefully put the outflow valve (5) (outflow valve electronics first) through the hole in the aircraft skin.
NOTE : The actuator side of the outflow valve must point to the
____
bottom of the aircraft.
(5)
Put the outflow valve (5) to one side so that you can get access to the electrical connector (2) 10HL-C.
(6)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (2) 10HL-C and the manual motor (51) 10HL-5.
(7)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(8)
Connect the electrical connector (2) 10HL-C.
(9)
Put the gasket (6) in position on the outflow-valve support structure.
NOTE : Make sure that the gasket location tab is on the forward,
____
actuator side of outflow valve.
(10)
Carefully lift and put the outflow valve (5) in position on the gasket (6) and make sure that:
-you do not move the gasket (6) and,
-the location pins (8) are in the correct position in the outflow-valve support structure.
(11)
Install the screws (7). NOTE : Install the screws (7) as identified in the removal procedure
____ but you must only hand tighten them at this time.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Open the Outflow Valve from the Cockpit WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE OUTFLOW VALVES ARE
_______ CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF THE OUTFLOW VALVES CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING : KEEP AWAY FROM THE MOVING AND ENERGIZED PARTS OF THE OUTFLOW
_______ VALVE WHEN YOU OPERATE OR TEST THE VALVE. THESE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
NOTE : For this procedure we recommend that a minimum of two persons are
____ in constant contact with each other through the service interphone system. One person must operate the outflow valve from the cockpit, the other must be at the outflow valve.
(1) On the CABIN PRESS panel 25VU:
-make sure that the MODE SEL pushbutton switch is in the MAN position (the MAN legend is on) and,
-put the MAN V/S CTL switch to the UP position to open the outflow valve.
