B. Preparation for Removal of the Outflow Valve NOTE : This procedure is only applicable for outflow valves P/N
____ 20790-01AA. The outflow valve must be in the open position for this part of the procedure.
(1) Through the open outflow valve:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors (1) 10HL-B, (3) 10HL-A, (23) 10HL-E and (26) 10HL-D.
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Remove the nut the bolt (27), the washer (28) and disconnect the bonding strap (4).
(d)
Remove the bolts (22), the washers (21) and (where installed) the washers (24).

WARNING : KEEP AWAY FROM THE MOVING AND ENERGIZED PARTS OF THE OUTFLOW
_______ VALVE WHEN YOU OPERATE OR TEST THE VALVE. THESE CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1) Close the outflow valve from the cockpit:
NOTE : For this procedure we recommend that a minimum of two persons
____ are in constant contact with each other through the service interphone system. One person must operate the outflow valve from the cockpit, the other must be at the outflow valve.
(a)
In the zone 312, connect the 600 ohm boomset to the service interphone jack 13RJ.
(b)
In the cockpit: - on the CAPT jack panel, connect the 600 ohm headset to the related connector, - on the overhead panel 50VU make sure that the ON legend on the SVCE INT OVRD pushbutton switch is off, - on the CABIN PRESS panel 25VU make sure that the MODE SEL pushbutton switch is in the MAN position and,
- on the CABIN PRESS panel 25VU set the MAN V/S CTL toggle switch to the DN position to close the outflow valve.

F. Removal of the Outflow Valve
(Ref. Fig. 402/TASK 21-31-51-991-004)
WARNING : SUPPORT THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY OR IT WILL FALL AND BECOME DAMAGED OR
_______ INJURE PERSONNEL. THE UNIT/ASSEMBLY IS HEAVY.
(1)
Remove the screws (7). NOTE : Identify the screws for the installation procedure.

(2)
Carefully lift the outflow valve (5) and move it to one side to get access to the electrical connector (2) 10HL-C.
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connector (2) 10HL-C.
(4)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(5)
Lift and carefully remove the outflow valve (5) through the hole in the aircraft skin.
NOTE : The outflow valve weighs approx. 12.5 kg (27.5577 lb).
