(2) Install the Oil Filter. Use a lubricant approved by the Oil Filter manufacturer : S Lubricate the gasket on the Oil Filter. S Install the Oil Filter. S Torque to 23 Nm (17 ft.lb).
(3) Lock the Oil Filter to the Oil Filter Housing using locking wire.
(4) Install the engine cowlings. Refer to Section 71-12.
(5) Fill the engine with oil to the correct level. Refer to Section 12-10.
(6) Do an engine ground run-up. Monitor the oil temperature. Look specially for oil leaks. The oil temperature indicator must show the relevant oil temperature. Refer to the DA 40 F Airplane Flight Manual.
(7) Stop the engine
