(8)  Install the throttle control cable: S Install the top adjustment nut and washer onto the control cable outer sheath. S Push the cable through the support bracket at the bottom of the engine. S Install the bottom adjustment nut and washer on to the control cable outer sheath. Tighten the nut. 
(9)  Connect the throttle control cable: S Put the bolt and spacer in position on the mixture lever. S Put the eye-end on the bolt. S Install the washer and the self locking nut. 
(10)  Install the alternate air assembly and the air filter.  Refer to Section 71-62. 
(11)  Do a test of the mixture control for freedom of movement and correct adjustment.  Refer to Section 76-10. 
(12)  Do a test of the throttle control for freedom of movement and adjustment.  Refer to Section 76-10. 
(13)  Connect the airplane battery.  Refer to Section 24-31. 
(14)  Do a test for fuel leaks: S Set the fuel selector/shut-off valve ON. S Set the ALT/BAT switch to ON. S Set the electrical fuel pump to ON. S Make sure that there are no leaks from the carburetor. S Set the electrical fuel pump to OFF. S Se the ALT/BAT switch to OFF. S Set the fuel selector/shut-off valve to OFF. 
(15)  Connect the spark plug cables to the spark plugs.  Torque to 12.4 to 13.6 Nm (110 - 120 in.lb). 
(16)  Install the engine cowlings.  Refer to Section 71-12. 
(17)  Do an engine ground run-up test.  Refer to the Airplane Flight Manual.

Section 75-02
Air Cooling - Lycoming O-360-A4M Engine

1. General
This Section gives you the data for the air cooling system for airplanes with the Lycoming O-360-A4M engine installed. It gives you the maintenance practices to remove/install the baffle. Refer to the Lycoming Maintenance Manual for data about the inter-cylinder cooling baffle. Figure 1 shows the air cooling baffle.
2. Description/Operation
The baffle controls the cooling air flow. Ram air enters the cooling baffle through the intake in the engine cowling. The front duct of the baffle sends the cooling air into the space over the top of the cylinders. A special rubber sealing strip is mounted at the top of the baffle. The rubber sealing strip makes a seal between the baffle and the inside of the top cowling. The air goes down between the cylinders and around the outside of the cylinders. The used air goes out from the bottom rear of the engine bay.
The cables for the top spark plugs of No’s 1 & 3 cylinders, go through a cable feed-thru in the rear of the baffle, on the right side. The cables for the top spark plugs of No’s 2 & 4 cylinder pass through holes in the left side of the baffle, at the top.
