1) Make sure the maximum stow time of the thrust reverser is not more than 5.0 seconds. a) Make sure the green REV indication goes off and the
amber REV indication comes on while the thrust reverser moves. b) Make sure the amber REV indication goes off when the thrust reverser is in the stowed position.
(b) Look at the EPCS Maintenance Page on the EICAS (use the steps above) to make sure the RP shows between -4 and 4 percent.

(8) Use the Power Plant Operation (Normal) procedure to do the engine shutdown (AMM 71-00-00/201).

Do the deactivation procedure for the applicable Speed Brake Control System (AMM 27-62-00/201).

Open the fan cowl panels (AMM 71-11-04/201).

Make sure the clearance between the face of the actuator lock proximity sensor and the lock lever target on the center locking hydraulic actuator is 0.010 to 0.040 inch (0.254 - 1.016 mm).
(a)
If the clearance is not correct, extend and retract the thrust reverser with hydraulic power to fully retract each sleeve (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(b)
Do a check of the clearance between the actuator lock proximity sensor and the lock lever target again.
(c)
If the clearance is not correct, do the adjustment procedure for the actuator lock proximity sensor (AMM 78-36-00/501).
(d)
Use hydraulic power to extend and retract the thrust reverser again (AMM 78-31-00/201).
(e)
Do a check of the clearance between the actuator lock proximity sensor and the lock lever target again.
(f)
If the clearance is not correct, replace the locking hydraulic actuator (AMM 78-31-17/401).

(4) Make sure the reverse thrust lever is in the stow position and attach a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag.
