CAUTION: MAKE SURE ALL THE ACTUATORS OPERATE CORRECTLY WHEN YOU EXTEND
_______ THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE FLEXSHAFT BETWEEN THE ACTUATORS IS BROKEN, OR IS NOT INSTALLED, ONLY THE BOTTOM ACTUATOR WILL OPERATE. IF YOU CONTINUE TO OPERATE THE THRUST REVERSER WITH THIS CONDITION, DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OCCUR.
 (8)  While you keep the sync lock disengaged, turn the square drive to fully extend the applicable thrust reverser sleeve.
NOTE: Make sure you turn the square drive in the direction that
____ extends the thrust reverser sleeve. For the left sleeve, turn the manual drive counterclockwise. For the right sleeve, turn the manual drive clockwise.
Make sure the manual drive turns smoothly. If it does not turn smoothly, stop the manual operation and install the square drive again. If the manual drive continues to operate roughly, use the power method to extend the thrust reverser sleeve (AMM 78-31-00/201).
 S 032-079-N00
 (9)  If it is necessary to remove the hydraulic tubes or the components for the thrust reverser, close the bypass valve:
NOTE:____The bypass valve is on the isolation valve. Keep the bypass valve closed when you remove the hydraulic components of the thrust reverser. If the bypass valve is open, the hydraulic fluid can come out of the disconnected fluid lines.
 (a)
Remove the streamer pin that holds the manual override lever for the bypass valve in the open position

 (b)
Set the manual override lever on the bypass valve to the closed position.

 (1)  If you installed the hydraulic tubes or the components for the thrust reverser, open the bypass valve:
NOTE:____The bypass valve is on the isolation valve. Keep the bypass valve open to prevent hydraulic lock when you manually operate the thrust reverser sleeves.
 (a)
Set the bypass valve to the open position
