Do the deactivation procedure for the thrust reverser for ground maintenance (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Open the core cowl panels (AMM 71-11-06/201).

Install the cradle on the sleeve:
(a)
Attach the cradle to the sleeve.
(b)
Adjust the cradle to hold the weight of the sleeve.

(8) Remove the turbine exhaust sleeve:
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE CRADLE HAS THE FULL WEIGHT OF THE SLEEVE ON
_______ IT BEFORE YOU REMOVE THE BOLTS. THE INCORRECT SUPPORT OF THE SLEEVE CAN CAUSE THE SLEEVE TO MOVE OR FALL. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS.
(a)
Remove the bolts (4), the washers (5), the brackets (7), and the nuts (6) that attach the sleeve (1) to the engine flange.
(b)
Move the sleeve (1) rearward away from the exhaust plug (2) before you lower it.
(c)
Lower the sleeve (1) to the ground.
