(4) For the applicable engine, open these circuit breakers and attach the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) On the P6 panel:
1) 6F13 ENG 1 T/R CONT
2) 6E13 ENG 2 T/R CONT
3) 6D13 ENG 3 T/R CONT
4) 6C13 ENG 4 T/R CONT

CAUTION: DO NOT TRY TO MOVE THE THRUST REVERSER WHILE THE CORE COWL
_______ PANEL IS OPEN. IF THE CORE COWL PANEL IS OPEN, DAMAGE WILL OCCUR TO THE THRUST REVERSER OR THE CORE COWL PANELS.
(5) Make sure the core cowl panels are closed and latched.

(6) Make sure the thrust reverser halves (which includes the louvered
exhaust door) are closed and latched.

(7) Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(8) Put the EEC MAINT ENG X POWER switch on the pilot's maintenance
panel, P461, in the TEST position.
NOTE:____ The X is the applicable engine which the test is done on.

Supply hydraulic pressure to the thrust reverser system (AMM 29-11-00/201).

Examine the operation and indication of each thrust reverser.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO PERSONS OR EQUIPMENT IN THE AREA
_______ AROUND THE THRUST REVERSERS. THE STEPS THAT FOLLOW WILL CAUSE THE THRUST REVERSERS TO EXTEND, WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a) Move the applicable reverse thrust lever aft to the interlock position.
NOTE: The thrust reverser must not move.

(b) Close the applicable circuit breaker, ENG X T/R CONT, on the P6 panel.
NOTE: The X is the applicable engine which the test is done
____ on. The thrust reverser must extend when the circuit breaker is closed.
(c) Open the applicable circuit breaker, ENG X T/R CONT, at some middle position of the extension of the thrust reverser. 1) Make sure the thrust reverser stops when the circuit
breaker is opened. 2) Make sure the EICAS REV amber indication stays on.

(d) Close the applicable circuit breaker, ENG X T/R CONT, to fully
extend the thrust reverser.
1) Make sure the EICAS REV amber indication changes to REV
green.
(e) Examine the hydraulic lines of the thrust reverser and fittings
for leaks. (AMM 29-11-00/601).
(f) Open the applicable circuit breaker, ENG X T/R IND, on the P6
panel.
1) Make sure the EICAS REV green indication goes off and the
the EICAS ENG X REVERSER amber message goes on.
(g) Close the applicable circuit breaker, ENG X T/R IND, on the P6
panel.
1) Make sure the EICAS amber ENG X REVERSER message goes off
and the EICAS REV green indication comes on.
(h) Move the applicable reverse thrust lever on the control stand
to the maximum reverse thrust position to make sure the
interlock actuator releases.
(i) Look at the EPCS Maintenance Page on the EICAS to make sure the
RP (reverser position) shows between 96 and 104 percent.
1) Push the MENU key on the CDU.
a) Make sure the main menu page shows.
2) Push LSK 6L (<CMC).
a) Make sure the CMC MENU 1/2 page shows.
3) Push LSK 3L (< EICAS MAINT PAGE).
a) Make sure the EICAS MAINT PAGES SYSTEMS 1/3 page shows.
4) Push the NEXT PAGE key.
a) Show the adjacent pages until (<71 EPCS) shows for
selection.
