Do this task: "Thrust Reverser Deactivation for Ground Maintenance" (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Remove the turbine exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401).

Remove the turbine exhaust plug.
(a)
Remove the bolts (3) and the washers (4) from the lower half of the plug (2).
CAUTION:_______MAKE SURE TO HOLD THE WEIGHT OF THE EXHAUST PLUG. DAMAGE COULD OCCUR IF THE PLUG FALLS.
(b)
Hold the plug and remove the remaining bolts (3) and the washers (4).
(c)
Move the plug (2) aft and remove it from the engine.

Procedure

(1) Install the turbine exhaust plug.
(a)
Set the plug (2) on the engine flange.
(b)
Lubricate threads and shank of bolts (3) with anti-seize compound and install the top washers (4) and the top bolts (3). 1) Tighten the bolts with your hands.
(c)
Lubricate threads and shank of bolts (3) with anti-seize compound and install the top washers (4) and the top bolts (3). 1) Tighten the bolts with your hands.
(d)
Tighten all of the bolts (3) to the correct torque as follows: 1) Tighten the dry bolt to 85-95 pound-inches (9.6-10.7 N.m). 2) Tighten the lubricated bolt to 65-75 pound-inches (7.3-8.5
N.m).

Install the turbine exhaust sleeve (AMM 78-11-01/401).

Do this task: "Thrust Reverser Activation Following Ground
Maintenance" (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Do this task: "Automatic Speed Brake System Activation"
(AMM 27-62-00/201).
(5)
Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tags from the thrust levers.
