Install the Power Unit (Fig. 401)

WARNING: OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE PROCEDURE TO CLOSE THE THRUST

REVERSER. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS, INJURIES TO
PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(1) Make sure the thrust reversers are closed (AMM 78-31-00/201).

CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL OR FILL THE POWER UNIT WITH THE THRUST REVERSER
_______ IN THE OPEN POSITION. IF YOU DO THIS, YOU WILL FILL THE POWER UNIT TOO MUCH DURING SERVICING PROCEDURE. TOO MUCH HYDRAULIC FLUID IN THE POWER UNIT CAN CAUSE THE HYDRAULIC LINES TO BREAK.
(2) Attach the power unit to the strut with the bolts and washers.
(a) Make sure the bolts are in the correct location from the record made when they were removed.

Connect the hydraulic lines to the RH and LH ports on the power
unit.
(4)
Turn the vent plug counter clockwise until it stops.
(5)
Install the lockwire on the vent plug.
(6)
Connect the electrical connectors to the power unit.

(7) Do the servicing procedure for the Thrust Reverser Cowl Opening Power Unit (AMM 12-12-04/301) if it is necessary.
(a) Use the sight plug on the opening power unit to do a check of the hydraulic fluid level.

3) 414D20, ENG 2 COWL DOOR CONTROL
4) 414A16, ENG 2 COWL DOOR POWER UNIT
(b)
On the right Power Distribution Panel, P415:
1) 415E15, ENG 3 COWL DOOR CONTROL
2) 415E19, ENG 3 COWL DOOR POWER UNIT
3) 415E16, ENG 4 COWL DOOR CONTROL
4) 415E22, ENG 4 COWL DOOR POWER UNIT

Do the Thrust Reverser Open and Close (Power Method) procedure four times for each thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).

Make sure the thrust reverser opens and closes smoothly.

Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition.

Install the forward strut fairing (AMM 54-62-04/401).
