CAUTION: DO NOT LET THE ROD ENDS OF THE HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR TURN WHEN YOU
_______ REMOVE THE BOLTS. IF THE ROD ENDS TURN, THE ROD ENDS ARE NOT ALIGNED WITH THE HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR, BODY OR WORMGEAR.
(5) Remove the cotter pin, nut, washer and bolt which attach the rod end to the thrust reverser sleeve (AMM 78-31-13/401).
(a) Attach the rod ends to prevent movement.

WARNING: HOLD THE BLOCKER DOOR WHEN YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE DRAG
_______ LINK. THE BLOCKER DOOR IS FREE TO TURN ON ITS HINGES AND CAUSE INJURY TO YOU AND DAMAGE TO THE FAN COWL.
(6) Disconnect the drag links from the blocker doors (AMM 78-31-15/401).
(a) Wind a clean cloth around the drag link and attach it to the
inner wall of the fan cowl with tape.

Put the blocker door in the stowed position and attach it to the thrust reverser sleeve with tape (AMM 78-31-15/401).

Remove the maximum extension stop blocks attached to the upper and lower auxiliary tracks.

CAUTION: DO NOT OPEN THE THRUST REVERSER MORE THAN THE 23-DEGREE
_______ POSITION WITH THE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVE EXTENDED. DAMAGE TO THE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVE OR THE STRUT CAN OCCUR IF THE THRUST REVERSER IS OPENED TO THE 45-DEGREE POSITION.
(9) Open the thrust reverser to the 23 degrees position (AMM 78-31-00/201).

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THE WEIGHT OF THE THRUST REVERSER SLEEVE IS FULLY
_______ HELD BY THE GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(10) Use the sling to hold the thrust reverser sleeve.
(a)
Attach the hoist to the sling loop which has a mark for the
inboard or outboard thrust reverser sleeve.
(b)
Make sure the weight of the thrust reverser sleeve is fully
held by the sling.
